This piece was made for the Meroogal Womens Art Prize, 1999, in the early days before the exhibition toured to Spiral Gallery. It was the winner of the Highly Commended Prize, and was exhibited at Vaucluse House in Sydney. It is called "A Womans Garden I" and is embedded and cast cotton paper, 85cm x 75cm.
This piece was made for the Mandorla Religious Award 2000 Perth, WA - the exhibition theme was The Birth of Jesus. It is called Nascent, from The Cross I Bare Series VI. The work is inspired by the stained glass windows of the medieval gothic cathedrals. Embedded and cast cotton and paper, 1.25m x 0.75m. In the collection of Lizzie Doyle, Tathra.
This is a detail from a commissioned pelmet 5 metres long by 40cms. It is based on the owners garden and is called "Helens Garden" from the series A womans Garden VI. Embedded and cast cotton and paper, 2000.
This piece was selected for the 2002 Red Hot Fibre Exhibition held at the Redcliffe City Art Gallery, Queensland. The theme was "Paper & String". The title is A Few Of My Favourite Things, from the series The Musicians II. Wrapped objects using fibre paper made from Iris, lavendar, bamboo, kozo, flax and basil. Photographed by Tony Locherbie.
