Ringbalin is a beautiful
100 acre valley fronting one of the last wild rivers in NSW,
Australia - the Brogo River. Our water is recognised as the cleanest
in Australia.
This property is 25 kilometres north of Bega, New South Wales, Australia, Southern Hemisphere. It is a herb and organic olive farm, as well as your typical farm with horses, cows, chickens and abundant wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, etc. Birds you will see include kookaburras, cockatoos and wedge tailed eagles.
It is also a host farm for Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF) and ACE (Australian Cultural Exchange), where backpackers and travellers exchange labour for accommodation and food for a designated amount of time - usually a week.
Our property is very close to the Brogo Dam where activities such as canoeing, horseriding and bushwalking are available. The Far South Coast of NSW is a great place to explore. Although it is on the coast, it's not far from the Snowy Mountains. There is skiing from June to September, and bushwalking all year around, surfing and swimming in summer. There are also other host farms in this area.
Music and the arts thrive in the Bega Valley. Bega is the home of Bega cheese, and dairy farms in the valley support this industry.
My studio, which is also called Ringbalin is where I hold a variety of papermaking workshops. These can be one day workshops; weekend workshops or weekly residencies if you want to have a crash course.
Self-contained accommodation for up to 4 (adults or children) is available as is camping in the warmer months. Seasonal homegrown food will be provided when available, and of course as much water as you can drink.
Workshops are for beginners or advanced, adults and children, and in some situations apprenticeships can be arranged for short periods. If you think you might be interested in my workshops you can find out more by accessing the workshop section of this web site.
